Lucy Fur's two major pursuits - photography and professional exhibitionism - meet up advantageously in the setting of odd American hotel rooms. For the photos, I'd set the timer and race across the room topless in heels trying to get in place before I heard the shutter click. The most compelling photographs had me seeming stiff, intentional and awkward. At the same time I had in mind and reacted to the established lexicon of pin-up sexy. - Lucy Fur on this project
